Purpose

The Center for Values-Driven Leadership is a gathering place where top executives, entrepreneurs and thought leaders come together to innovate at the forefront of values-driven business practice. We help leaders forge new paths to profitability through a values-driven approach to business.

Values-driven companies are those that succeed in the marketplace by focusing on the triple bottom line – people, planet and profit. They deliver exceptional business results by providing leadership in the areas of ethical practice, social contribution, and environmental impact.

Being a values-driven company is good for business and society. Values-driven companies consistently outperform their industry peers and create short-term and long-term value for their stakeholders – customers, employees, investors, communities and the natural environment.

Housed in the College of Business at Benedictine University, the Center advances its mission through education, research and outreach initiatives.

Launching a Revolution

Through education, research, and practice, the CVDL is launching a Revolution in Responsible Business.

Business is the most powerful institution on the planet. It is the place in which most adults spend the majority of their waking hours and creative energy. The interactions that occur in the workplace – and the leadership decisions that result – hold greater capacity to shape the lives of individuals, of businesses, than any other single institution.

Our Revolution in Responsible Business challenges and equips executives to become industry leaders through socially-, ethically-, and environmentally responsible behavior. Together we are shaping the global conversation about values-driven leadership and responsible business.
